The Democratic party stands to re-gain control of the United States Senate this November if six if these seven vulnerable Republicans are defeated by their sensible rivals. The Democrats already have one seat won, since Democrat Ned Lamont or Independent Joe Lieberman is going to win in Connecticut. Here are The Eight:

CONRAD BURNS: the no. 1 recipient of money and favors from indicted lobbyist Jack Abramoff. That's all anyone needs to know. Currently trails Big Sandy resident and organic farmer JON TESTER in the polls, and its only going to get worse as Abramoff and his cronies detail their activities for federal prosecutors. Testor is currently president of the Montana state Senate, where he presides over the first Democratic majority in that chamber in ten years. A harbinger of things to come?
